Pre-Professional Students

Pre-professional students have the opportunity to develop the skills, experience, and discipline which are necessary foundations for a professional career.  The LDT school has professionally experienced teaching staff and live piano accompaniment in some ballet classes. The curriculum is supplemented by visiting guest teachers, and various consultants offer lectures in dance-related topics throughout the year, adding further to the student’s education.  Opportunities for LDT students include auditioned and non-auditioned performances.  The Nutcracker and the Spring Gala performances are choreographed for the dancers of LDT and are accompanied by the LDT Chamber Orchestra.  LDT is very proud to offer the opportunity of live and/or original music for these performances.
